Yaupon Neighborhood on Oak Island

Nestled between the marsh and estuary on the North, the beach on the South, Crowell St on the West, and Country Club Dr on the East, Yaupon  is one of the most sought after areas on Oak Island.

Seems like paradise, right?  It could be…if only the neighborhood streets were more pedestrian and bike friendly – and crossing E. Oak Island Drive was a whole lot safer!

Neighborhood Goals

We want people to respect our neighborhood

  • Drivers of all vehicles should drive cautiously – like they care about people.
  • People should always pick up after their dogs, and dispose of it in their own trash receptacles.
  • Fireworks are illegal – and for good reason.  They can start house fires, and add stress to people and pets.
  • People should follow proper trash and recycle can management – to make neighborhood streets cleaner, safer and more pleasant.
